Troubleshooting FAQ LS 600d

DOES THE LS 600D FEATURE A WEATHER-RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION LIKE THE LS 600D PRO?

We designed the LS 600d Pro to be protected from the elements, particularly inclement weather. Therefore, as a Pro Light Storm fixture, the 600d Pro features weather resistance and the ability to operate in the rain.* Like most LED fixtures on the market, the LS 600d does not feature weather-durability and is ideal for dry weather and studio environments.

HOW TO THE CONTROL BOX DESIGNS DIFFER BETWEEN THE LS 600D AND LS 600D PRO?

A significant advantage of removing features like CRMX, Battery Charging, and Weather-Resistance is utilizing a smaller and slimmer control box. The LS 600d’s control box is significantly lighter than the LS 600d Pro’s controller. The LS 600d control box weighs in at 3.24kg (7.14lbs), which is almost half the weight of the LS 600d Pro’s 5.8kg (12.79lbs) control box. Despite shedding nearly half of its weight, the LS 600d controller still maintains many of the LS 600d Pro’s functions, except the advanced UI LCD, instead opting to use the familiar (but larger) OLED display and interface of the LS 300d II and LS 300x. The LS 600d control box also removes the ethernet connection because it does not feature Art-net compatibility. All other connections remain the same, however, including the Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 TOP AC connection and the same LS 600 Series 5-Pin Weatherproof Head Cable (3m). This means that while the LS 600d and 600d Pro control boxes and lamp heads are not interchangeable, the head cables are, and the longer LS 600 Series 5-Pin Weather Proof Head Cable (7.5m) is also compatible with the LS 600d, for more reach.

ARE THE LS 600D AND LS 600D PRO CONTROL BOXES AND LAMP HEADS INTERCHANGEABLE?

No. The control box for the LS 600d cannot be used with the LS 600d Pro lamp head. The opposite is also not possible.

WHAT IS FREQUENCY SELECTION ON THE LS 600D?

The Frequency Selection mode in the menu of the LS 600d allows users to adjust the PWM dimming frequency of the LS 600d by up to +2000Hz. In many situations, this will aid users in tuning out flicker that may result from a combination of camera and light settings.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FAN MODES FOR THE LS 600D?

The LS 600d can utilize four separate fan modes, including 1) Smart, 2) High, 3) Medium, and 4) Silent. 1) Smart: The fan speed will automatically modulate based on the ambient temperature 2) High: Suitable for environments with an ambient temperature of 35°C to 45°C, with a noise floor of ≤31dBa at 1 meter 3) Medium: Suitable for environments with an ambient temperature under 35°C, with a noise floor of ≤29dBa at 1 meter 4) Silent: The fan in the lamp head will completely stop spinning, and the power output will be limited to 60W.
