[Softbox] LS 60 Softbox FAQs

The depth and aperture of the LS 60 Softbox are designed to work in tandem with these two lights. Simply set the beam angle of the LS 60d or 60x to 45° Flood to maximize the spread of the light, and the light source will fill most of the diffusion area.

The LS 60 Softbox is designed to be compact and lightweight and therefore does not have quick-release rods. This allows it to weigh under 1 pound and pack flat for travel.

The LS 60 Softbox uses the Mini Mount design found on the LS 60d and 60x. This means it is not compatible with Bowens Mount fixtures like the LS 300x.

The LS 60 Softbox was designed for use with the LS 60d and 60x from its diffusion aperture to its depth. The Light Dome Mini II was designed for Bowens Mount lights, and therefore works better with those fixtures. The LS 60d and 60x can still be used with the Light Dome Mini II, with or without the reflective inner baffle, however, the LS 60 Softbox is lighter weight, more compact, and will have a more even fill on the diffusion. The LS 60 Softbox also includes two outer diffusions (1.5 & 2.5 stops) for different densities and more controlled softness.
