[Sidus Four] How Do I Update the CRMX Firmware on the Sidus Four?

How to Update the Lumenradio TimoTwo Firmware For Each of the Four Antenna Ports A, B, C, and D. Approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Notes and General Guidelines

  • Attach antennas while the device is off. Leave all 5 antennas attached to the Sidus Four during the duration of the update. It is not recommended to attach or remove the antennas while the device is powered on. Doing so could harm the signal processor for each antenna.
  • There are four(4) CRMX/TiMoTwo wireless processors in the Sidus Four. One for each Antenna Port/CRMX Universe. This process will need to be run for each chip individually.
    • Only one CRMX chip can be updated at a time. Disable the three CRMX antenna ports that are not currently being updated.
  • There are two ways to update the Aputure Firmware on the Sidus Four: Wirelessly over bluetooth from the Sidus Link Pro iPad App, or with a USB-C Flash drive.
  • Ensure Sidus Four is running on AC power through the firmware update process.
  • Ensure your iPad is connected to the internet in order to access the latest firmware. If the iPad is connected to the Sidus Four’s AP then it will not be able to download the latest firmware from the internet.
  • It is recommended that the LumenRadio Firmware is updated before updating the Sidus Four firmware. This will reduce the amount of switching from APs one needs to do to update all firmware.

Device Stuck in A Reboot Loop?

Your Sidus Four may begin a "reboot loop" after updating the Transmitter firmware. Don't panic! Turn off each Antenna Port, or simply perform a Factory Reset to stop the loop. You'll have to be quick to perform the factory reset in between reboots actions.
