[Sidus Four] How Do I Update CRMX Firmware / TimoTwo Firmware?
Prepare Sidus Four for Firmware Updates
1. Verify Your Devices Firmware Versions
Go into Settings on your Sidus Four and click Update.
Verify your Sidus Four's current Firmware & CRMX Firmware Versions.
If your Sidus Four's firmware is out of date, start by updating that firmware first.
1. You will need a USB drive with the latest Sidus Four firmware in the root directory of the drive, which can be downloaded HERE
2. Insert the USB drive into the USB-C port on the front of your Sidus Four, select Update, then Yes to begin the update.
You can also update your Sidus Four's firmware by using Sidus Link Pro. Follow the steps HERE
3. The update process will take approximately 1-2 minutes to complete.
4. Once complete, navigate back to the update screen and verify that the firmware version has been updated to the current firmware version.
2. Update Each TimoTwo Transmitter Individually
Now that your devices firmware has been updated, it's time to update the TimoTwo firmware for each of your Sidus Four transmitters.
1. Download CRMX Toolbox 2 on Apple App Store or from Google Play.
2. Turn off transmitters B-D on your Sidus Four by selecting each transmitter individually and pressing the "Click to Disable" button. When this step is complete, only transmitter A should be enabled.
3. At this point, the home screen should look like this, with only transmitter A enabled.
4. Open CRMX Toolbox 2 and select "Connect device".
5. Select your distinctly identified Sidus Four Transmitter A UID from the list.
6. Select "Update"
7. On the "Update?" confirmation popup screen, press "Yes".
8. The update process will now begin and will likely take around 2 minutes to complete.
9. Once the update process has successfully completed, press "OK" to continue. A firmware update screen will popup with some crazy numbers for your devices current firmware version. Don't worry! This is a known bug in the CRMX Toolbox 2 app which requires you to restart your phone/tablet to clear the cache. Rest assured that after rebooting your device and checking the firmware on the CRMX Toolbox ox 2 app, it will show the correct firmware version!
10. Reboot your Sidus Four and navigate back to the Update screen. Verify under "CRMX Firmware Version:" that the A transmitter has been updated to the latest firmware version.
11. Complete Steps 2-10 for Transmitters B-D to complete updating ALL of the firmwares for each transmitter. When complete, all firmwares should be updated.
Occasionally your Sidus Four may begin a "reboot loop" after updating a Transmitter's firmware. Don't panic! All you have to do is perform a Factory Reset to stop that behavior. You'll have to be quick to perform the factory reset before the Sidus Four reboots again, but it's pretty simple to do.
