[Sidus Link Pro] Version 2.0 Features Explained
Version 2.0 Features
In this walkthrough, we’ll cover everything from auto patching and level control to cue recording and beyond. With the release of version 2.0, [Sidus Link Pro] introduces powerful new features like DMX Auto-Patching, 0.1% dimming, Pixel Control, and more.
Auto-Patching and Auto-Configuration
Automatically detects enabled Aputure fixtures, applies the correct DMX profile, assigns a DMX address and universe, and pairs each light with your Sidus Four or Sidus One — all via the [Sidus Bluetooth Mesh] network. This replaces manual setup with fast, intelligent configuration.
- Auto-Configuration adds the fixture directly into your [Sidus Link Pro] project.
- Auto-Patching – Automatically sets the fixture’s profile, address, and CRMX settings
- Reduces setup time from hours to seconds — even on complex multi-fixture kits.
- Supported fixtures so far include: STORM XT52, STORM 1200x, STORM 1000c, STORM 80c, and MC Pro.
- You can always override default values after patching — perfect for advanced workflows or mixed fixture types.

0.1% Dimming Control
With your light selected on the Stage, [Sidus Link Pro] now supports 0.1% parameter adjustments. This gives you incredible control — not just over intensity, but across other fine-tunable parameters as well. Whether you're dialing in subtle shifts or balancing across fixtures, this feature makes precision effortless and repeatable.
📁 Projects and Folders
[Sidus Link Pro] 2.0 introduces a new file structure designed to match real production workflows. Instead of managing individual scenes, you now build Projects, which can be grouped into Folders.
Whether you're lighting a narrative film, documentary, or interview, you’re likely working across multiple setups — like Interior House – Day or Exterior Slaughterhouse – Night.
What Changed?
- Scenes are now called Projects
- Multiple Projects are stored inside a Folder
This structure reflects how productions operate — one Project with many setups using shared fixtures.
Use Folders to group Projects by location or production type:
- House Interior Projects
- Music Video: Warehouse Shoots
Keeping things grouped this way helps you stay organized and find what you need faster.
Additional Controls and Enhancements
- The Grand Master now dims both Bluetooth and DMX-connected devices — giving you full system-level control with one slider.
- A new Unload All Cues button lets you instantly clear all active cue masters with a single tap — a useful tool for resetting all lights at once.
- Battery levels for Sidus Bluetooth devices and auto-patched fixtures are now displayed directly in the Fixture List, so you’ll always know when a light needs charging.
- The Main Menu has been updated for faster access — tap the list icon in the top left to jump between Projects, Library, Diagram Master, Illumination Handbook, Settings, and Support without leaving your project.
🌈 Pixel Control
View and group pixels using the new Pixel Window, then adjust intensity, color temperature, hue, and saturation per group or per pixel.
✅ Sidus Four Real-Time Monitoring
[Sidus Link Pro] now allows two-way communication, enabling not only remote commands like triggering the Link command and setting the DMX universe (previously available through the Connection Management window under Network Transceivers) but also direct control over new features in Sidus Four. These new features include:
-
Ethernet Connection Management: Sidus Four is now visible and controllable over wired Ethernet, including:
- Real-time port status
- Power Loss Notification [Sidus Link Pro] now displays a full-screen alert when Sidus Four loses AC power and switches to battery — so you’re never caught off guard.
- CRMX Output Power Adjustment: Set transmission strength per output (5mW, 10mW, 40mW, 100mW) to optimize signal coverage and conserve energy when needed.
- Wi-Fi Channel Selection: Manually select Wi-Fi channels to reduce interference from other devices and improve responsiveness in RF-heavy environments.
- CRMX Blocking: Block up to 10 specific frequencies in the 2.4 GHz band to prevent interference from wireless follow focus systems, production Wi-Fi, and personal hotspots or tablets.
