[Sidus Link Pro] Compatible iPad Models and System Requirements
Supported iPad models and software requirements for running Sidus Link Pro.
System Requirements
Sidus Link Pro is an iPad-only app. It requires iPadOS 13.1 or later. Older iPads may experience some lag but remain functional.
Confirmed Compatible iPad Models
The following iPad models have been tested and confirmed to run Sidus Link Pro:
iPad mini (6th generation) - iPadOS 15.7+
iPad Air (5th generation) - iPadOS 17.2+
iPad (7th generation) - iPadOS 16.6.1+
iPad (8th generation) - iPadOS 16.6.1+
iPad (10th generation) - iPadOS 17.3.1+
iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation) - iPadOS 16.6.1+
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) - iPadOS 16.5.1+
Newer iPad models than those listed above will also run Sidus Link Pro. The list reflects the oldest confirmed-working hardware for each form factor.
3D Visualizer Performance
The 3D Visualizer is more graphics-intensive than the rest of the app. Performance varies across iPad models. See 3D Visualizer iPad Performance Compatibility for recommended and minimum-spec iPads for 3D Visualizer work.
iPhone and Android Users
Sidus Link Pro is iPad-only. If you need lighting control on a phone, use Sidus Link Mobile on iOS or Android. Mobile supports Bluetooth control of Aputure and amaran lights but does not include DMX or CRMX control.
Network Requirements
DMX output via sACN or Art-Net requires the iPad to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your lights, Sidus Four, or Ethernet nodes. A stable 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection is required for reliable real-time control.
