      [STORM Series] Update Firmware over USB

      The STORM series lights can be updated with a USB drive (USB-C for 80c). To do so, do the following:

      1. Browse to www.Aputure.com/
        1. Click the Product Family->Product. Scroll down to the Downloads section.
      2. Download the latest Zip file for the firmware you are installing. Take note if there are any release notes.
      3. Extract the Zip file onto your computer.
      4. Copy the extracted files onto the root of the USB drive (or USB-C for the 80c). They should not be in any folder.
      5. Insert USB Drive into the STORM light.
      6. From the Main menu, go to System Settings->Firmware Update.
      7. Select Update Firmware and then "Yes"

      The Firmware File should be an unzipped ".bin" file on the root of your USB-C flash drive.

       

      To see what Firmware Version the fixture is currently using, select "Firmware Version".

      Most Firmware updates can also be done via Sidus Link app using OTA (Over the Air Technology). 80c V1.7, 1000c V1.4 must be updated over USB.
