[STORM XT52] Error Code EH.012 Liquid Cooling System Malfunction

Troubleshooting a Liquid Cooling Error Code on the XT52

Cause of the error code: Air bubbles near the liquid cooling systems sensor

The XT52's liquid cooling system has a sensor inside of it to detect that there is liquid in the system before it lights up. Sometimes, small air bubbles/air pockets can form right around the sensor causing the unit to think that there isn't any coolant in the system, thereby triggering the error code.

Solution: Move the air bubble(s) from the sensor

PLEASE NOTE: The unit must be completely powered off and the power cable must be completely unplugged in order for this solution to work properly.

If the unit is simply turned off, but still plugged in, it will not properly reboot when turned back on and will not clear the error code. Make sure the units power cable is completely unplugged before proceeding.

To get the air bubbles to move away from the sensor, simply tilt the lamphead all the way down (With the COB light source pointing towards the ground) wait for around 30 seconds, then tilt the lamphead all the way up (With the COB light source pointing towards the sky), again wait for 30 seconds for the bubbles to move, then tilt the unit back forward.

This should allow the air bubbles to move away from the sensor so that the unit can start circulating the coolant again.

At this point you can plug the power cable back in and turn it on. The error code should be cleared and your unit should resume functioning normally.

If the error persists, please contact the Service & Repair team for further assistance.
