[INFINIBAR PB3] Can the INFINIBAR PB3 Be used as a CRMX receiver and with an adapter, output wired DMX?

The INFINIBAR PB3, as of Firmware version 2.0, can not currently output the DMX data it receives via CRMX.

When being used as a receiver for CRMX, the PB3 won’t send any DMX signals out of the USB-C port using an Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter.

This has been confirmed with Firmware Version 2.0 as of April 2025.

The Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter cable, when used with the INFINIBAR PB3, does not enable the INFINIBAR PB3 to operate as a CRMX receiver and output the universe of DMX data that it is receiving from a CRMX transmitter.

The Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter cable does however enable the INFINIBAR PB3 to be in line of a DMX daisy chained DMX fixtures, be controlled by that DMX data, and continue to pass it along to other DMX fixtures daisy chained in line after it. The Aputure Active USB-C to 5-Pin DMX In & Out Adapter cable also enables a user to control the INFINIBAR PB3 with a wired DMX signal.

This operation for the ability for the PB3 to be used as a CRMX receiver may change with a future Firmware Update.
