Using the Aputure INFINIMAT Patch Kit

To ensure the Inflatable Softbox operation, prevent contact with sharp objects. In the event of airbag deflation due to punctures, use the included INFINIMAT Patch Kit for repair.

1. Locate the source of the air leak, using a small amount of soap water made with mild detergent is recommended when locating punctured areas that are too small to find with naked eyes.

2. Measure the size of the opening, and deflate the damaged airbag.

3. Cut the provided Patch Kit into appropriate size for the repair required, making sure there is a minimum of 1" (25mm) of the tape surrounding the damaged area.

4. Adhere the tape onto the damaged area, ensuring a complete contact is achieved between the tape and the airbag.

5. Allow 4 hours for the basic amount of adhesion to be achieved. The airbag is now ready for inflation again - do not overinflate.

Once repaired with a Patch Kit, the airbag may deflate more easily compared to an airbag that is entirely free of any air leaks. Depending on the size of the damage, here are the esti≠ mated duration of air retention for different repaired Inflatable Softbox sizes:

7x2 to 4x4: 18-24 hours
6x6 to 20x20: 2-4 hours

In order to ensure optimum performance of the Inflatable Softbox after a puncture has occurred, replace the damaged unit with a new one.
