[LS 60d] Powering from Batteries

LS 60D Power Supply FAQs

ARE ALL D-TAP BATTERIES COMPATIBLE WITH LS 60 LIGHTS?

The LS 60d have a max power draw of 90W. So as long as the battery can support 90W output via its D-Tap port the battery will be compatible.

DO ALL SONY NP-F BATTERIES WORK WITH THE LS 60 SERIES?

Most Sony NP-F batteries we have tested work with the LS 60d. Some Sony NP-F batteries have a hardware limitation that does not let them discharge an adequate amount of power to satisfy the power draw of the LS 60d. As there are many versions of these batteries on the market now, it is difficult to pinpoint which batteries have this limitation.

IS THE 60D COMPATIBLE WITH THE 2-BAY BATTERY POWER STATION?

No. The 2BBPS uses 2X V/Gold mount batteries and boosts the voltage to output a 48V DC current. The 60d utilizes DC power directly via D-Tap connection or the included Sony NP-F battery plate.

WHAT POWER SOLUTIONS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE LIGHT?

In addition to the AC power supply with V-Mount bracket, the LS 60 comes with a D-Tap Power Cable, and an Intelligent Dual NP-F Battery Plate.

WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED RUNTIME OF THE LS 60D WITH A 98WH D-TAP BATTERY?

Estimated Runtime: 1 Hour+ | 98Wh/90W = 1.089Hr - (Heat/Efficiency Loss) ~ 1 Hour

WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED RUNTIME OF THE LS 60D WITH A 198WH D-TAP BATTERY?

Estimated Runtime: 2.1 Hours+ | 198Wh/90W = 2.2Hr - (Heat/Efficiency Loss) ~ 2-2.1 Hours+

WHAT IS THE ESTIMATED RUNTIME OF THE LS 60D WITH 2X NP-F970 BATTERIES?

Estimated Runtime: 1 Hour | With 2X 6600mAh NP-F970 Batteries, the LS 60d could theoretically operate at full power for approximately 1 hour. | Wh = mAh × V / 1000 | 6600mAh x 7.2V = 47,520mWh / 1000 = 47.52Wh => 47.52Wh x 2 = 95.04Wh @ 14.4V => 95Wh/90W = 1.056Hr
