IS THE 60D WEATHERPROOF?

Yes the 60d lamp heads and connectors are designed to be weatherproof. The lamp heads, however, cannot have an official IP rating per international standards. The power supply and Dual NP-F Battery Plate are not weatherproof.

WHAT BEAM ANGLE SHOULD I USE WITH THE LS 60 SOFTBOX?

As the LS 60 Softbox has no internal baffle in order to maximize output, when used with an LS 60d, the fixture should be set to flood mode (45°) to reduce intense hotspots in the diffusion.
