[Sidus Four] Connecting your iPad to a Sidus 4 with an Ethernet Dongle

A Step-by-Step Guide for Direct Network Setup and Troubleshooting

  1. On your iPad, Disable Wi-Fi to ensure it prioritizes the Ethernet connection.
  2. Connect your Ethernet dongle to the iPad using the appropriate adapter.
  3. Open Settings > Ethernet once the dongle is recognized.
  4. Select your connected Ethernet network.
  5. Tap Configure IP > Manual.
  6. Enter the following details:
    1. IP Address: 192.168.0.1
    2. Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    3. Router: Leave blank for a direct connection.
  7. On your Sidus Four, open the Network Menu.
  8. Set IP Configuration to Static.
  9. Assign a unique IP address within the same subnet, e.g. 192.168.0.10.
  10. Confirm that the Subnet Mask matches 255.255.255.0.
  11.  Save the settings before exiting the menu.
  12. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the iPad (via dongle) directly to the Sidus Four.
  13. Ensure both devices are powered on.
  14. Wait a few seconds for the connection to establish.
  15. On you iPad, Open Sidus Link Pro on your iPad.
  16. Tap the Network Connections button in the top-right corner.
  17. Confirm that the Sidus Four appears in the device list.
  18. If connected properly, the Ethernet icon on the Sidus Four display will illuminate to indicate an active signal.

Both devices must have unique IP addresses within the same subnet.
Example: iPad = 192.168.0.1; Sidus Four = 192.168.0.10.
The first three octets (e.g. 192.168.0) must match, and only the last number should differ.

You can connect the devices physically before or after setting the IPs—either order works.
