[Sidus Link Mobile] Connecting Your Fixtures
How fixtures connect to the Sidus Link Mobile app
Aputure fixtures with built-in Sidus Bluetooth Mesh connect to the mobile app over Bluetooth. Up to 100 fixtures can be controlled from a single smart device.
Before you start
- Make sure the fixture's Sidus BT is enabled (check the BT menu on the light).
- Make sure your phone or tablet's Bluetooth is on.
- Make sure the fixture is powered and within Bluetooth range.
Adding a fixture
- Open a Scene in the Sidus Link Mobile app.
- Tap the + button in the top-right corner to add a fixture.
- The app scans for nearby Sidus BT fixtures. Tap the one you want to add.
- Confirm and name the fixture so you can identify it later.
Troubleshooting connection issues
- Fixture doesn't appear in scan: Reset Sidus BT on the fixture (BT Menu, Reset BT, Yes), then re-scan from the app.
- Fixture disconnects intermittently: Move within roughly 30 feet of the fixture. Sidus BT range degrades through walls and metal racks.
- App can't find any fixtures: Confirm Bluetooth permission is enabled for the Sidus Link app in your phone's settings.
- Firmware update needed: Some legacy fixtures need a firmware update before they appear in Sidus BT. See Updating Fixture Firmware.
