[Sidus One] Recommended settings when using Blackout Lighting Console with a Sidus One
Link Status settings that we recommend using to get the best performance from your Sidus One when using it with the Blackout Lighting Console iPad App.
If you choose to use a Sidus One transmitter with Blackout Lighting Console, the following settings are what we recommend using to get the best operation.
In Blackout Lighting Console, in the top bar there is a Link Status button. Tap on this button to access the Link Status window.
We recommend using the "Prefer Wi-Fi" output method, "sACN" Output Protocol, and the default "100" Priority.
If you choose to use the "Prefer Wi-Fi" output method, with the "Art-Net" Output Protocol, then we recommend using "Directed Broadcast" Protocol Setting, and the "1" Universe offset.
This is because the Sidus One will ignore Art-Net universe 0, which is why we recommend the Universe offset of 1.
You do not need to use the "Limited Broadcast" Protocol Settings because the Sidus One does not only listen to the Art-Net IP address 255.255.255.255, therefore we do not recommend it.
Some Art-Net nodes are configured to only receive Limited Broadcast Art-Net (Art-Net broadcast to the IP 255.255.255.255), which is what the Limited Broadcast option is for in Blackout Lighting Console.
